UI Team Lead

Proclivity Systems seeks a highly experienced, entrepreneurial UI Team Lead. This role is responsible for design, development, and implementation of client-facing enterprise web applications.

Proclivity enables online retailers to execute revenue-generating, direct marketing campaigns based on their consumer's individual valuations and forecasted willingness to buy. Proclivity accomplishes this by gathering all of a retailer's consumer data into its unique Consumer Behavior Bank®, scoring each consumer and generating individual valuations by product or service.

The UI Team Lead has responsibility for design, development, and support of internal and client-facing enterprise web applications in an agile environment. It requires advanced skills in web application development and project administration, and the ability to guide and mentor junior software engineers.

Responsibilities

Work with product management and business users to negotiate application requirements, project scope and delivery schedules.

Carry out rapid development of proof-of-concept prototypes.

Lead development and deployment of production applications.

Provide technical consulting to management, business users, and other technical staff.

Handle support throughout the application life cycle.

Automate management and maintenance tasks.

Understand and address application security standards and requirements.

Generate proposals for system extensions and enhancement.

Required background, knowledge, and skills

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

At least 4 years experience in web application development.

High motivation and self starting.

Ability to perform effectively in demanding and dynamic environment.

Strong communication skills.

Project management experience in an agile development environment, working and integrating with multiple team stakeholders.

Mastery of relevant web-application technologies:

1. JSF with Richfaces, Ajax, Javascript.

2. CSS and JQuery.

3. Enterprise Java (J2EE Java EE 5; EJB3, etc.

Strong facility in UNIX development and production environments.

Knowledge of OO methodologies and software architecture.

Experience with

An application server, JBoss preferred.

Database design and SQL.

Git or SVN.

Build and deployment using Apache Ant.

Eclipse IDE with JBoss debugging tools.

Good to have

JBoss Seam

JIRA or some other collaborative project management tool.
